We took our mobile studio, with beer in tow, to Toronto this weekend to record the baritone sax parts for “Escape From Crystal Skull Mountain”. Karen Ng (Woodshed Orchestra, Del Bel) nailed it, and we even had time to throw some schmaltzy alto on a new tune that’s been added to the list. So far the album is 18 tracks in 28 minutes – that’s an average song length of 1.33̅, eggheads! More alto, clarinet, pedal steel, and cello sessions booked in the coming weeks. Shit is getting serious!

We got to draw this poster for Marc Maron’s WTF podcast performance / recording at SXSW. His guest will be actor Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development, The Larry Sanders Show, that one episode of M*A*S*H) and there will be screen prints available from the good folks at Night Owls Print Shop. Dust off your red / cyan cardboard glasses, kids. We’re doing a bunch of 3D art for this year’s Kazoo! Festival, starting with this launch party poster. It actually works too.

Live Action Fezz will be creating 3D projections of my art that you’ll be able to see with the glasses provided at the shows. There will also be red / cyan T-shirts and screenprints available! Festival runs April 11th-15th!

we’ve recorded most of the drum parts for our upcoming album “Escape from Crystal Skull Mountain”. we drank lots of beer and smoked a bit of grass.

So we’re doing all the art for this years KAZOO! FESTIVAL here in Guelph, Ontario. Posters, program, web stuff, a comic, and maybe some t-shirts too.

Our new record is coming out in August of 2012 on Fake Four Inc. It’s called Gregory Pepper and his Problems Escape from Crystal Skull Mountain. We’re heading in with seventeen songs, some of which have been lying around for a while. Tentative track list below:
